The CSR at ADR
For ADR, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a core principle. Over the recent years, it has become necessary for companies to take steps towards the reduction of their environmental footprint, which is why ADR has heavily invested in the modernization of its equipment.
In 2023, a new ball bearing washing machine was bought: the KP100 HMA for a total of €300k. This new machine allows ADR to ensure an evolution in the cleaning process, moving from a detergent + solvent (Vertrel) method to a vacuum-based solvent (modified alcohol) cleaning cycle.
This more efficient method improves degreasing and particles removal, reducing waste. The combination of several elements such as: the elimination of periodic oil changes, the extended lifespan of the solvent charge and the anticipation of regulations concerning halogenated solvents will help reduce environmental impact.
In 2021 ADR also acquired a Rosler CYCOMATIC Z800K-HA-TURBO-FLOC centrifugal pump, representing an investment of €41,500 supported by a €16,000 grant from the water agency. This machine allows ADR to treat wastewater in a closed loop, ensuring zero discharge in the environment. Thanks to the recycling of this wastewater, there has been a significant reduction in water consumption and the consumption of chemical compounds.
These investments support the CSR approach by reducing the consumption, controlling emissions, anticipating regulatory requirements, and improving working conditions through more autonomous, less bulky, and quieter equipment.
ADR is therefore continuing its efforts by integrating new environmental-friendly solutions.
